Library, Darwin College Cambridge

Darwin College’s library (built 1994) is an elongated, bright space. Most of the books are shelved on an enormous curved wall that spans the length of the library. The ceiling slopes up and away from this mammoth bookshelf to a mezzanine level, full of study spaces and windows overlooking the River Cam and the small island. On occasion, those studying can watch the cattle grazing. One photo from the series was an award winner in Cultural Interior for Architecture Photography Awards (2022)
